Nowadays, the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) are new descriptions for practices which are more sustainable, more social and guarantee a more positive impact on the environment and society. These objectives, which can be measured, are firmly embedded in the philosophy and projects of BPI Real Estate.

The guidelines followed by BPI Real Estate are clearly compliant with many new goals in terms of sustainable development, among others. By adopting an approach that is increasingly focused on circularity, reuse or more virtuous and less energy-intensive material choices, we are able to quantify our progress.
BPI Real Estate therefore invests in sustainability to offer increasingly more innovative projects adapted to the challenges of tomorrow.
Based on the criteria set out in the SDGs, we reflect deeply on our development and construction activities and take many actions to reduce their carbon footprint. This vital approach is applied to all our projects. But we don’t stop at this.

Six other SDGs are also monitored, depending on the context:
* Projects/phases included 100%, provided that the status of the project is at the time of assessment between 6 months since the introduction of permits and 6 months after the delivery of the building.
** Fossil-free: no gas, no oil, no coal.
*** CO2 friendly: Projects integrating at least one co-generation system, a biomass/pellet heat network or geothermal energy, or passive construction or at least 10% more efficiency than the national NZEB value.
